Well, i don't know if they do or don't. I'm doing a play for showcase about opposites attracting. Its a romantic comedy. I'm partnered with three other girls. The play, unfortunately, requires two girls and two guys. OH CRAP!! Ha ha ha. So, two of the girls, not me, decided to play the two guys. The sad part is they either are falling in love with one of the girls or are liked by one of the girls.
How this is related to the opposites attracting thing? Well, my character, Sylvie, has a cheerleader-type-you-don't-know-me attitude.(No offense to those of you reading this that are cheerleaders). The other characters are Spence, a gay guy or atleast everyone assumes he's gay; Faber(We don't get the name, so good luck sounding it out), he's a white guy who thinks he's black; and last but not least Miranda, a nerdy girl.
So, Sylvie, me, tells Miranda that she likes Faber and finally she admits it. Clueless Faber doesn't figure it out. Sylvie tries to get them alone and has to get rid of Spence. While being attacked, Spence falls in love with Sylvie. Awww....
The cute part is we're all girls! That fact alone doesn't matter in drama because genders don't really matter. YAY US! (That was sarcasm).
It's very unlikely for opposites to attract because then they would fight... ALL THE TIME!! They'd fight about everything like....
"Hey honey, do you prefer the white curtains or the pink ones?"
"White!"
"What? Why?"
"Pink is too... well, not manly,"
"Not manly!"
"Yeah!"
"Well, I'm putting the pink ones up!"
"What?!"
Anyway, you all should get what I'm saying. Those who have things in common will get along just fine, but I think it would be annoying if the person you like ALWAYS agrees with you about everything.
I think people should have their own opinions about everything. No one is perfect and Opposites do not attract.
