Their legends have been going around since the start of humanity. Vampires. Are they fiction or does one live next door?
No one wants to believe that there could be even the slightest chance of immortality because then everything they have ever believed in could be false too.
But ever since Twilight came out, everyone seems to be into vampires.
I remember when the mere mention of vampires meant that "OMG, you're emo!"
Now, when someone mentions vampires, its always, "OMG, Edward Cullen is sooo HOT!!"
I mean come on, a vampire isn't supposed to sparkle in the sun!! They're supposed to burn up and die! I don't want to trash talk Twilight, I love the books. But since the movie came out, well they make me feel emberassed about liking vampires. Anyway, aside from Twilight, I'd have to say Interview with a Vampire was pretty good. I'd have to say that that movie makes me proud of being a vampire lover. Once my dad asked me, "Do you believe in vampires?" I answered yes. He then asked me, "If one were to go into your room in the middle of the night, would you let it drink your blood?" and I said, "Daddy, vampires can't go into your room unless you invite him in and I wouldn't be stupid enough to let him turn me into a vampire.... I'd wait till I was 18, hahahaha".
Vampires have always fascinated me, especially after I saw Van Helsing. But, I make up my own mind about what I believe about them. I believe that yes, they do have to be invited into your home, or they cant even go in. No, they don't sleep in a coffin. No, they don't sparkle. Yes, they die in the sunlight. Yes, they have to drink blood.
No, garlic doesn't affect them. Yes, they have super human strength and healing. No, they can't be killed with a wooden stake. Yes, they live forever. No, they don't age. Yes, they have special powers, each different and unique.
Now that's my perspective on vampires.
